What would I do as a Devotee of a Temple?
If you want to dedicate to a temple as a devotee, you should register to arrive on Wednesday.
You will be included in setting up and dedicating the shrine, incarnating the deity into their Vessel for the festival, and helping take down the shrine. You will be educated in the special museum pieces that are part of the shrine and how to care for everything so they don't break over the time they are enjoyed during the event. You would participate in caring for the Deity as it is incarnated into its Vessel. Possibly helping be a shrine attendant, accompany the Vessel if they have a specific need in the mysteries, such as you might be asked to help pass out ritual items, you might be asked to help smudge and anoint, or push a button on a stereo at a specific cue.
You will not need to attend rehearsals, or memorize lines, you will not need a costume, but you may wish to bring a robe. Devotees robe colors are below. The first color is the color of the robe, the second color is the color of the himation. Lastly, I've given you an idea in what part of the festivals the Temple assists. All the temples still have spaces available.
