Trevor Ruhl
Trevor Ruhl is a full time artist from Portland, Oregon. As former foster child and foster parent, I see the power of positive support and am trained in peer counseling and have been co-facilitating Men's circles for 6 years. Having spent a period of time over 4 years in B.C. studying with Elder Headworth and various First Nation's Tribes, I decided to take my skill and become a full time artist carving devotional wood work for altars as well as casual home décor and signage. My Art business, Up Wood Working, allows me time and freedom to further my spiritual studies, travel, and build community. Stepping up as the Priest of Hephaestus is an natural extension of everything I value.
The lessons and awareness granted to me through this process are not singular moments but as a continuing invitation to seek with fierce curiosity, I found deepening truth and embodied a pure expression of the three aspects of my life: Art, Community and emotional/spiritual wellness.
